For twelfth year and after two years of absence due to COVID crisis, we are happy to announce the conduct of the 12th NOA regatta, scheduled to take place in Alexandroupolis from 12 to 16 of July 2022.
“NOA regatta” is one of the most unique and challenging series of races during the summer period, for young and older sailors sailing with Optimist, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and Laser Standard. The race course lies just ahead of the waterfront of Alexandroupolis city, with the wind blowing mainly from Northeast directions and shifting to Southwest (developing sea breeze), offering a perfect racing field. The regatta is held under the aegis of the Hellenic Sailing Federation (www.eio.gr) and it is included in the international calendar of the World Sailing Federation ISAF (www.sailing.org) , the World Federation of Class Optimist IODA (www.optiworld.org) and the European region of the International Laser Class Association (EurILCA).
Alexandroupolis is a seaside city near the Greek Turkish Borders, 3 hours drive from Istanbul and Thessaloniki, 1 hour from Greek Bulgarian borders with everyday air connection to and from Athens airport. The city offers many choices for entertainment and is famous for its local gastronomy with nice sea food and other local dishes.
